What Differentiates Advanced Diagnostic Medical Sonography from General Diagnostic Medical Sonography?

During the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Advanced (DMSA) training program, you’ll learn echocardiography in addition to general sonography. Echocardiography uses sound waves to produce a heart’s images, allowing a doctor to examine the heart function and identify heart disease. While the DMSA training program does take a little longer to complete, gaining additional skill (echocardiography) widens your knowledge base, allowing for greater employment opportunities. And, learning echocardiography means you may earn more than general Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Technicians. If you would like to take your career to the next level, consider the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Advanced (DMSA) training program.
