What Differentiates General Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Advanced Diagnostic Medical Sonography?

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) training program is shorter than the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Advanced (DMSA) training program by about 6 months – saving you time and money. The main difference between the programs is the DMSA students learn echocardiography – how to perform an ultrasound of the heart to diagnose heart disease. That is in addition to general sonography. If you are eager to enter the diagnostic medical imaging field as soon as possible, the DMS program is for you.
