Scholarship Program for Employees of WCA Member Companies and Other Corporate Partners<\/strong><\/p>\n The College of Westchester is participating in a special scholarship for new students who are accepted and enroll after March 1, 2012, who are employees of any Westchester County Association member company, Business Counsel of Westchester company or any College of Westchester Corporate Partners who hire CW graduates.\u00a0 A special 20% tuition discount will apply after tuition reimbursement and any state or federal financial assistance is applied for any new student enrolling after March 1, 2012.\u00a0 This cannot be combined with any other CW grant or scholarship, and does not include books and fees.<\/p>\n Joseph and Julia Sutkowski Memorial Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n Freshman and Sophomore only<\/p>\n Students who have graduated from high school with an 80% or better cumulative average or who have completed a minimum of at least 24 credits at a prior college with a 3.0 or better GPA evidenced by an official transcript will be awarded up to $5,000 which will vary based on credit load. This scholarship is limited to the balance of the student\u2019s tuition account after credit for all other scholarships\/assistance has been applied.<\/p>\n Achievement Awards <\/strong><\/p>\n Freshman and Sophomore only<\/p>\n This grant is awarded at the discretion of the Achievement Award Committee which carefully considers a student\u2019s academic promise and their financial need. Award amounts up to $8,000 will vary based on credit load and is disbursed towards tuition only at the completion of each academic term. Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better in order to receive subsequent awards.<\/p>\n Bachelor\u2019s Achievement Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n Junior and Senior only<\/p>\n The College of Westchester will award scholarships ranging up to $15,000. Scholarship awards may be based on prior academic performance, future potential and financial need. Scholarships will be awarded on a per credit basis and will be credited toward tuition only at the completion of the semester and\/or term.<\/p>\n Matching Scholarships <\/strong><\/p>\n Freshman and Sophomore only<\/p>\n Students who have received recognition from an approved outside scholarship program are eligible to have their awards matched by The College of Westchester. Each matching scholarship may not exceed $2,000 per year.<\/p>\n Institutional Grants <\/strong><\/p>\n The College makes available a number of institutional grants for new and continuing students. Grants are awarded based on financial need. Special considerations given to students in critical need of assistance to continue studies. Up to $3,000 will vary based on credit load and is disbursed toward tuition only at the completion of each academic term. For complete information on applying for this grant, please contact the office of Student Financial Assistance.<\/p>\n The Mayor Joe Delfino Scholarship <\/strong><\/p>\n In tribute to his fine work and tremendous support of the college, the CW Charitable Foundation Board established The Mayor Joe Delfino Scholarship. Granted annually, the successful recipient must be a White Plains High School student or graduate who is planning to attend or attending CW. They must embody Mayor Joe\u2019s spirit of giving. The guidance office at White Plains High School will assist in recipient selection.<\/p>\n The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation Scholarships<\/strong><\/p>\n The College of Westchester Charitable Foundation, an IRS approved public charity, provides an additional vehicle to supplement grant and scholarship opportunities for current students of the college. Since its inception in 2005, The Foundation has regularly awarded scholarships and has helped assist many worthy students realize their educational goals.
