The College of Westchester is committed to helping you explore the many ways to make college affordable. Our knowledgeable financial assistance counselors are available to meet with you to explain the financial aid process and describe the various programs available to finance your education. Federal and state government financial aid is available if you qualify, plus CW offers an annual variety of scholarships, grants and payment plans.

Tuition & Fees

Whether you are taking Day, Evening, or Online classes, The College of Westchester’s 2024-25 tuition is $878 per credit. Total credits required for graduation vary by program. See Academic Programs or College Catalog for additional information. The chart below provides some guidance on likely charges per semester/term for students taking various credit loads.

A minimum of 12 credits per semester or 6 credits per term is required for full-time enrollment.

The College’s Net Price Calculator provides an approximation of first-year, full-time student college expenses. Estimated housing, transportation and other school related expense are included in the net price. This is not an official application for financial aid and the results provided here should only be considered an estimate.

Cost of Attendance Budget

The 2024-25 Cost of Attendance (COA) Budget is an estimate of total expenses to attend college for one academic year. This includes two different types of costs:

1. Direct Costs are charges that will appear on your student account such as tuition, fees, and books.
2. Indirect Costs are items that do not appear on your student account, but are costs associated with going to college such as transportation, food and housing and living expenses and miscellaneous and personal expenses.

Over 90% of CW students qualify for some form of financial assistance through various grants, scholarships, student loans, and federal work study opportunities. It’s important to start planning early to take advantage of all opportunities available to help finance your college education. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the main form that a student is required to complete to be considered for student assistance from any of the Federal Title IV, HEA programs.
