FREE Fall Workshop Series for High School Students

CW is committed to its mission of being an academically student-centered college, providing the highest quality education, and this commitment extends beyond our own students.  CW acknowledges the challenges students face when transitioning from high school to college, which is why we offer complimentary workshops for high school students to ease this transition.

Workshop 1: Time Management – Tips and Tricks for Success!

September 21, 2024, from 9:30-12:30 pm

Learn techniques that are important to a successful college life and beyond!

You Can:

  • Learn effective time management strategies.
  • Master task prioritization.
  • Develop goal setting.
  • Set efficient study timetables.
  • Form healthy habits, handle stress, and sustain a positive outlook.
  • Maintain an orderly environment and boost concentration and productivity.
  • Balance academic duties, personal pursuits, social engagements, and self-care.

Upon completion of this workshop:

Whether you are managing high school, college, work or life’s adventures, you will be equipped with a set of strategies and insights that will aid you in effective time management, staying organized, and maintaining a balanced existence!

Workshop 2: Money Management 101 – The foundation for a financially secure life!

October 12, 2024, from 9:30-12:30 pm

Develop a solid foundation in financial literacy and an understanding of money management issues you will encounter in adulthood.

  • Learn the basics of investing and how it benefits Your future.

October 26, 2024, from 9:30- 12:30 pm

Take a fun career/personality quiz and narrow down your potential career pathways!

  • Create strategies to make informed decisions about your future career.
  • Learn about real-world instances of successful individuals who have carved out careers in fields divergent from their academic study.
  • Find diverse academic disciplines that can pave the way to unexpected career paths.
  • Develop skills and qualifications for different industries.

Workshop 4: Clear Conversations: Mastering Your Interviewing and Speaking Skills!

November 16th, 2024, from 9:30- 12:30 pm

Are you nervous about interviews or public speaking? Whether you are going on job interviews or applying to college and speaking with Admissions, this workshop is for you!!

  • Learn simple techniques for effective public speaking.
  • Engage your audience, manage anxiety, and deliver your message clearly.
  • Prepare for interviews, handle tough questions, and present yourself confidently.
  • Discover your unique voice and present yourself with confidence.
