From Theory to Practice: Bodies Exhibit
Students from CW’s Allied Health club, as well as the Health Information Management and Medical Assistant Management programs had the opportunity to take their annual celebratory trip for all of their hard work and efforts throughout the semesters. This year they embarked on the BODIES EXHIBIT located at the Liberty Science Center, Jersey City, NJ.
Cram Jam & Student Open House
As part of the preparations for finals, the Office of Academics helped students with the stress and provided hot breakfast. Students also had the opportunity to look ahead to next semester and make schedule changes, meet with Student Financial Services, and Commit to Complete their degree and graduating from CW. Accounting Society Bake Sale
The Accounting Society had a successful bake sale where students had the opportunity to practice their entrepreneurial skills. The center of attention was definitely the “croquembouche.” This is a French dessert consisting of choux pastry balls piled into a cone and bound with threads of caramel.
Medical Assisting Students sit in for a Live Cardiac Bypass
Dr. Wright’s Anatomy and Physiology students had the opportunity to sit in and view, Live From…Cardiac Classroom. This is an innovative use of videoconferencing technology in a state-of-the art, 100-seat Interactive Theater in the Jennifer A. Chalsty Center for Science Learning and Teaching. Ice Cream Social
Although the weather seemed to be threatening us with rain, sunshine prevailed and we ended up having a great Ice Cream Social at CW! Student Activities sponsored the annual day college event where students, faculty and staff enjoyed each other’s company and delicious ice cream! Allied Health Career Café
Career Services hosted an Allied Health Career Café where students had the opportunity to network with employers to discuss careers, including internships and full-time positions, as well as mentoring opportunities. Employers attending the event were Progressive Foot Care, University Orthopaedics, Forme Medical Center, Aerotek, WESTMED Medical Group, and Atlantic Dialysis Management Services. Students talked one-on-one
