Westchester Community College Signs Transfer Articulation Agreement with The College of Westchester

Westchester Community College and The College of Westchester have collaborated on a new pathway to bachelor’s degree studies. An articulation between the two colleges was announced at a press conference on the Valhalla campus of Westchester Community College on Thursday, May 12. 

Under this new partnership, fourteen of Westchester Community College Associate of Arts (A.A.), Associate of Science (A.S.), and Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees are now acceptable for transfer articulation through 17 different pathways into Bachelor degree programs at The College of Westchester.

Applicants successfully completing the articulated WCC programs with a 2.5 or better grade point average can enroll as a junior at CW.

“This partnership will help our graduates achieve a seamless transfer to The College of Westchester” says Dr. Belinda S. Miles, President of Westchester Community College. “This is an important agreement which focuses on student success. We are always pleased to build new bridges toward four-year institutions and to assist our students in moving on toward advanced degrees.”  

In addition, The College of Westchester announced that it will offer a number of WCC Pathways Transfer Scholarships to students transferring to the institution from Westchester Community College, including three half tuition scholarships per year to eligible WCC graduates.

“It is particularly gratifying to The College of Westchester to be signing an agreement with Westchester Community College that formalizes the informal relationship that we have had as neighborhood colleges for many, many years.  Our liquid borders are being celebrated and recognized between two colleges who continue to be integral to the local and regional community.  Many thanks to President Belinda Miles and her team for their collaboration,” said Mary Beth Del Balzo, President of The College of Westchester.
