A growing number of students are looking to online high school and college offerings as a flexible option to get the education they need to get ahead. Employers are beginning to catch on that offering these kinds of programs can help attract and retain employees. Starbucks, Wal-Mart, and Taco Bell made headlines this year by offering online diplomas to employees.
McDonald’s recently joined the list by working with an online textbook company, Cengage, to help employees pursue the education they might not have access to otherwise.
