Michelle was born in New York and attended Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers. With the dream of working in the banking industry, she successfully landed her first job at the Federal Reserve Bank after graduating high school. Thereafter, her career has spanned across multiple industries to include pharmaceutical, insurance, and media.
As a result of the recession and the economic meltdown, Michelle found herself unable to secure a position that complimented her qualifications. After many closed doors, she received feedback from a prospective employer that changed everything. The employer advised her that she was overqualified and should not be applying for support roles but should be pursuing a degree to match her years of experience that would lead to better opportunities. Michelle started researching local institutions that offered vigorous curriculums, flexible schedules for adult students, and a seasoned faculty to guide her academic path. In May of 2014, Michelle enrolled in the Adult Division at CW which allowed her to start rebranding herself..
Michelle is a Business major and has been named to the President’s List and Dean’s List for her continued academic achievements. Also, Michelle has taken advantage of her work experience and obtained CLL credits from the College. Her career goal is to secure a management level position using her advanced education, diverse work experience and human resources background. She will receive her Associate Degree next year and will continue with her BBA Program, both at The College of Westchester.
Michelle resides in Yonkers where she raises her daughter Tiara and enjoys traveling and interior designing.
