The CW Enactus team participated for the first time and were awarded “Rookie of the Year” at the “Enactus United States National Exposition” regional competitions in Washington, D.C. CW Faculty moderator, Prof. Paula Cancro celebrated with her team, “What a great experience for the CW Enactus Team. This group has worked so hard to get this far, and being able to present at the regional conference really showed them what they could do. Having the space to meet and work at CW, as well as the support of staff and faculty was key.”
Students presented their projects and were evaluated by business leaders serving as judges who ranked them on how successful they were at using business concepts to improve the quality of life and standard of living for those in need. “Competing in the 2016 Regional Competition was a great experience, and the start of a new beginning for The College of Westchester Enactus team.” said Jimmy Hernandez.
President Mary Beth Del Balzo congratulated the CW’s Enactus team on behalf of the entire CW family for such an amazing job and winning the Rookies of the year award, “Congratulations to the stellar Enactus team and faculty moderator Paula Cancro on a first time award! We are so proud of all of you. We are also grateful to alumni Lou Procaccini of Incision Network and Zara Lynch for assisting the team with the projects that got them noticed!”
