How to Actually Take Good Notes

In school and in the workplace, taking effective notes can help you hone in on important information and give yourself something helpful to refer to later. Sure you may have taken notes in school, but few of us ever really learned about what type of note-taking actually works.

This Fast Company post by Beth Bell Cooper shares some tips for effective note-taking. Spoiler alert: Highlighting and underlining are basically a waste of time.  You might also want to power down your laptop and tablet and whip out an old-fashioned pen and a piece of paper.
